If you have a website, and some traffic, you can be earning money with it! It’s very easy to ad advertising to your website and make money online. When done correctly it can even ad value to your site. Adsense is the most well known, but there are a large number of ad programs out there. When you sign up as a publisher to display Google’s Adsense ads on your site, Google spiders your site to find out what each page that you are going to place an ad on is about. Google then displays ads that relate to your site in some way. This is called targeting and it’s what makes the Adsense program work.

As a publisher you can choose what sizes of ads you want and where to put them on your page. You have a number of options like whether to allow image ads as well as text ads, and what sites you do not want ads from appearing on your page. You get to choose the color schemes and formats to make the ads match the style of your website and web pages. There are quite a few options for you to choose from to both customize the ads to your site and to determine what types of ads and services you want. You can even put a Google search box on your site and earn money from that too.

Another form of advertising you as a publisher can put on your site is similar to the old banner ads, but it is contextual. The ads are still banners, but they match the products being advertised to the content of your web page. These programs pay by ad impressions instead of click-throughs. This is referred to as CPM or cost-per-thousand. Fifty cents per 1,000 ad impressions is a fairly typical amount paid to publishers for these ads.

Most ad programs limit the number of ads you can place on a page. The CPM ads I use require any ads to be “above the fold” (Visible when the page loads without having to scroll down). That’s reasonable since you are being paid in effect for page views, so the advertiser wants to be sure that his ad is actually seen by someone. You could click away without scrolling down and thus the advertiser would have to pay for an impression that did not occur. I can get 2 ads above the fold, so I make $1.00 for each 1,000 page views.

Whether to use the CPM ads depends upon the amount of money the average page view produces. Some of my sites earn very little from Adsense because the topic of the page is not as valuable to advertisers as others. If my site is making me $5.00 per 1,000 page views with Adsense, then I won’t be putting the CPM ads up, since I only make $1 per 1,000 page views. If the site is making less than $1.00 per 1,000 page views with Adsense, then it’s worth putting the CPM ads up, with Adsense below the fold.

Adsense doesn’t have an above the fold requirement so I place Adsense ads below my CPM ads. That way I get paid for every visitor, without them having to click anything, and then there is still a chance they will click on an Adsense ad and make me even more money.

Another way to make money from every visitor without the visitor having to click anything is using the new 5 second audio ads from NetAudioAds. When a visitor lands on your website a 5 second long audio ad plays. Once the ad has played, the visitor will not hear another ad for at least 3 minutes. If after three minutes has elapsed, the visitor clicks to another of you pages, he could then hear another ad, or if he refreshes the original page he would hear a second ad. Only one ad per 3 minute period is ever played to any one listener.

Not only do you get paid for every visitor even if they don’t click anything, they never leave your site. With pay-per-click your visitor is gone, but not with 5 second audio ads. Another neat thing about he audio ad program is it has a referral program that goes down two levels. If you refer a publisher to the program, you get money when ads play on the referrals website. If your referral refers another publisher then you make money from those ads as well. It stops at that point, but by referring lots of new publishers your earnings can really skyrocket.

The audio ads do not interfere with Adsense or CPM ad programs, and they don’t take up any room on your page either!

Yet another way to make money online with your website is through affiliate programs. If you become an affiliate, and direct visitors to an advertiser’s website, and the visitor makes a purchase, you get a commission. That’s pretty much how affiliate programs work.

So mix and match your advertising for maximum earnings and go take a cruise ship vacation or something.

Don't have a blog? You are late to the party, but still lots of time and opportunity. Here are a few eye popping statistics:

Over 12 Million American adults have a blog
Over 57 Million Americans read blogs
Just over 20% of the most popular websites are blogs

and the most important, over 50% of blog readers also shop online.

Having a blog changes your website from a passive brochure into something much more interesting. Blogs are always updated and always changing, giving your browsers reason to come back. And, rather than just passively looking at what you choose to show to visitors, blogs allow visitors to interact with your site, leaving comments and discussing your posts among themselves online.

In this way, you build a community around your business and a ready audience.

The value of contact and feedback from your web visitors and customers cannot be under-estimated. Conversations with your customers are a goldmine for getting to know them, new product ideas, and problems with existing products or services.

Blogs make it easier for your clients to reach you. Even though the Comments form on the blog, where browsers can fill in their comments, is very similar to the contact page on your site, the difference is that with a blog, browsers can interact with you on their terms. When browsers go to a contact page they are confronted with a web form and nothing else for them to do -- either they fill out the form or go somewhere else. With a blog, browsers can look around, browser articles and information and then leave a comment on any number of articles of their choosing, or leave multiple comments.

Blog postings will help your search engine rankings like almost nothing else.

Blog postings rank high and rank often.
Contributing regularly to your blog increases the size of your site and the breadth of you keyword coverage which the search engines loves.
Blog postings and Blogs in general attract links from other websites.

With the open and 2-way communication that blogs give small business, you can react fast. If you have a difficult few months, and clients become annoyed, you can explain fully on your blog what happened and why and what you are doing about it. Obviously, it is better if things go smoothly, but if they don't you have an outlet.

Blogs are a great way to establish your reputation as an authority in your area, and at the same time, a great soft sell tool.

Very few people will purchase your services on the first visit to your website. However, if browsers can see a large library of material you have written, they have a chance to assess your style, opinions and ideas. Blogs allow browsers to look around and get a general feel for how it will be talking and working with you before they contact you.

Not only does this increase the number of sales or leads you get from your site, but much more importantly, it will increase the quality of leads, since they are already pre-sold before they contact you.

Homes are beginning to be seen as the place to earn one's daily bread today. They have a vision of lazing around all day, doing the occasional menial task and raking in thousands although most who try it certainly wish it were that easy! Working from home could be a job but what it lacks is the security. You can make it a success and be totally independent only if you slog and are disciplined. The majority of us hope to identify a way that we can make easy quick money, and all of us that look at all of the different ways to work from home are at first drawn into all of the different types of offers of get rich quick schemes. Very occasionally these might work; however, they rarely work sufficiently well like the advertising and hype put out. The ads about data entry and paid surveys especially are full of promises of how rich you can get but you'll find the real story quite different. The idea of taking a few surveys in the morning, having a long lunch, and then doing a couple more to end the day several hundred dollars better off, is a joke; nor will data entry improve your bank account either. All of these different types of activities are basically not sustainable for anyone that is seeking out a way to make money online working from home on a dependable and regular basis. However, everything is not considered to be a scam though there are a good number of them around to make you concerned. If you have reasonable writing skills you can earn money by writing articles and you'll find that the better you are, the more you earn. Most often when you start you will be providing your services to those who sell your efforts to others. Even if you work hard, you rarely earn more than for 500 words so try not to expect too much at the beginning. One way to go is to start writing for yourself and maybe sell your articles as PLR articles. The trick is to write say ten articles or so and then sell them at a reduced price but to not one but many people. The math would be like this: if one charged for a set of ten write ups and when sold to 30 other persons, it multiplies to 0, making the original worth per article versus. To be able to earn good money, while working out of the home, it to has to be steady and regular and one has to work at it. At first, it probably isn't going to be easy, but once you get into a regular routine and things get a bit more organized, it gets easier. At some point and time, it may even be possible to put together a group of writers that you are able to outsource all of your work to, and this is when you are going to start earning some really good money.

Billions of people are surfing cyberspace, many of them wanting to spend money conveniently. If you have something to sell, how can you ensure they will find you before your competitors? The answer is simple - you need to make friends with the search engines and give the search engines what they want. The good news for you is, 95% of your competitors ignore this secret that is hidden in plain sight because it's too easy.

What is the secret hiding in plain sight? Search engines want fresh, quality content! They have always wanted fresh, quality content. They are in business to serve the masses so they are brutally picky about who makes it to the first page of search results. Yes, getting backlinks from quality websites is a factor but it means nothing without quality content.

One of my websites is relatively new. It has a Google PR3. That might seem an envious position. Using my Google Page Rank, I applied to one of those sites that pays for reviews. I was rejected. Why? Very little traffic. My site is generating a measly 300 unique visitors a month (May 2008). I just do not have enough quality content on that site as yet to make it attractive to sponsors.

So, you see, Page Rank is not always an indication of traffic. It simply means I have a number of back links from high quality sites. Google sees back links as votes. The more back links, the more votes, the higher the Page Rank. Quality content, on the other hand, is the secret to generating traffic. Not only that, quality is what leaves you there for years to come. Even if your site goes down, your quality content will still be found on the internet highway!

Quality content consists of profitable keywords and some solid information for your visitors. Don't make the mistake of producing content loaded with all sizzle and no steak. Your visitors can't eat sizzle. They need steak in the form of solid information they can use.

Concentrate on gathering every ‘profitable’ keyword, whether long tail or short and use them to craft your money terms which ultimately lets you rank high for very highly competitive keywords. Searches that are in the 5 figures a day.

Long tail are keywords of more than 2 words (less people searching) and a short tail is 2 or less words (more people searching). Remember long tail keywords are ONLY typed in by a searcher IF they can’t find what they are looking for using short tail keyword phrases. If you provide solutions for short tail keyword searches then people won’t leave your site to search on long tail keywords.

This is the secret hidden in plain sight that 95% of your competition is ignoring. They break away from the simple rules and try something extensively different and difficult because the simple methods seem too good to be true to work. That’s their mistake that you can use to your advantage!

Stay away from fads. Save your money and make good use of your valuable time and effort doing what has always worked.

The boss of search engines is still Google. Follow what Google wants and you WILL be rewarded. It takes just as much time to cheat the search engines as it does to apply solid, honest techniques. The trickster will see his efforts vanish within 3 months. You will still be around making money.

The simple methods are here to stay and you need to never worry about algorithm changes as you will have the right structured site, with the right set of keywords and the right content that search engines will love. Whether you want to profit from Adsense, affiliates, your own product or service, these strategies will outperform 99% of all your competitors

Want to get ranked on Google within 60 minutes? No hocus pocus … just plain and simple? Do what I do every other day - submit articles to article directories. When we submit to article directories, the good ones with PR 6 and above, we automatically get their pulling power when Google spiders visits their site. Since Google regularly visits high PR sites, they re-cache (re-index) the entire page. So, when you post an article on a high PR site, the chances are that you could extract Google spiders from the high PR site to yours.

For example: you post an article to a directory site, Google visits it, crawls it and follows the links. Since you have a new keyword optimized article, Google will catch you on that page. So basically you can practically have your page cached within 60 minutes, depending on when Google is visiting.

Send out your content to these high PR (articles directory) sites and get indexed faster than ever and watch the traffic start flowing.

A professional SEO consultant is essential for the success of a search engine optimization project. With the right input and expertise from a SEO consultant, SEO can be carried out more effectively and efficiently, thus helping your site to achieve higher ranking much faster.

A quality SEO consultant needs to have proven track record and portfolio. Do not afraid to ask for references and find out his working relationships and SEO results with his clients. A proficient SEO consultant will also know how to make use of the right keywords to attract the right target audience to visit your website from the search engines. It is always about results and you need to make sure that the consultant has the necessary skillsets and knowledge to deliver it.

Now, let me share with you 5 qualities that I think a professional SEO consultant should have:

1. Knowledgeable in online marketing. The consultant should have a vast knowledge on website promotion on the Internet. He or she must know how to promote a website on various search engines by using the right keywords. Sometimes, the most generic keyword is not always the best keyword to optimize. The consultant should conduct a research and find out what are the keywords that your prospects actually type in search engines to look for your products or services.

2. Onsite optimization knowledge. He or she must be proficient enough to tag the different pages of your website with the right keywords. Onsite optimization is more than just putting keywords in the Title and Meta tags. The keywords used in each page must match the content of that page. At the same time, the frequency that the keywords appear in the particular page also needs to be taken into consideration. Too many occurrence of a keyword in a single page is considered keyword stuffing and search engines will penalize your site for this.

3. Offsite optimization knowledge. He or she needs to be familiar with offsite optimization techniques such as directory submissions, link buildings, articles submission, social bookmarking, etc.

4. Know how to retain your website visitors. Driving huge traffic to your website is not enough if none of them take the particular action that you want them to take (such as downloading a report, opting into a mailing list, or an online sale). Therefore, a professional SEO consultant should have the knowledge on landing page optimization so that he or she will know how to structure your page to increase your conversion.

5. Up-to-date with the latest SEO news and techniques. He or she needs to be competent in the latest SEO techniques and methods by keeping himself updated with the latest SEO news.

With these, you are now equipped with the expectation of what a SEO consultant should have before you hire any consultant to optimize your site.

You can't be successful being anonymous on the internet anymore you have to be seen you've got to be visible.

THE ART OF BEING VISIBLE

Ever wonder how some people stay in business and become successful while others struggle along or fall by the wayside? Customer appreciation is so important in any business do it right and you'll keep that business a long time. I remember years ago when I was first getting started with my business I met a older gentleman in one of my contracts who was in charge of sales and marketing for a now very large port terminal company on the U.S. east coast.

For some reason he took a liking to me and every week or so I'd ask him questions concerning business, I'll never forget one of the most important things he ever told me, you want to succeed in business you've got to be visible. Now back then in my late twenties I had no idea what he was talking about, visible what does that mean, it wasn't until many years later and several lost contracts that I finally figured it out.

Nobody likes to do business with a faceless company you have to take the time to physically stop by shake hands and look your customer in the eye. It still surprises me after 19 years in business the information I get from stopping in my contracts that I probably never would have gotten over the phone. Now don't get me wrong its ok to call and you should call but nothing beats a hand shake and a friendly smile it shows your customer you appreciate their business.

I've since lost contact with that wise gentleman who so graciously give me the most important piece of business advice ever but I still have the contract its been 17 years and counting...

Being visible online is even more important than it is for a traditional offline business, because in order to make money online prospects have to find you. So you've got to be visible in as many places as possible but how do you that well with the advent of social networking and attraction marketing being visible could not be any easier. Its a golden era on internet right now a chance for anyone to position them selfs to be any were and ever were in cyberspace. Web 2.0 has leveled the playing field for anyone who's serious about starting a home based business, internet business,or mlm opportunity so take the bull by horns and get ready for a wonderful ride.

If you are going to own and operate a home based business, having your own office is an important part of your success. Although you could work at your kitchen table, this should be a last resort, as having your own space will enable you to separate your home from your business.

It is important that you have space that is conducive to work. Setting up your home office in your living room isn't conducive to getting work done. You will also find that finding time to relax or time for your family is impossible if you are surrounded by your work, and time for work will be impossible if you are surrounded by your family and distractions, such as the television.

So, what does your home office need? Let's take a look.

A spacious desk and a comfortable chair: You will spend a lot of time sitting in that chair, and working at that desk. The more spacious and comfortable it is, the better off you are. You may be forced to start with a small desk and a cheap chair in the beginning, but you should upgrade as quickly as possible. The chair is especially important, in terms of comfort.

There are numerous options when it comes to a desk, but your desk should have room for your keyboard, a place for your printer, storage space for disks, room for your monitor, and of course space to write and such.

Your Computer: The computer that you've used to surf the web and send and receive email probably isn't powerful enough to run a business. You need a powerful computer, but you also need a computer that is suitable for upgrades in the future, as technology changes. Purchase your computer from a well-known company, and be sure to purchase the extended warranty.

Other Digital Equipment: This equipment includes a printer, a scanner, a digital camera, and a fax machine. You may not actually need all of these things for your business, but you should consider your options carefully, and when you're ready to purchase, ensure that the products are high quality, so that they last for a long time.

When it comes to printers, you essentially have two choices - a laser printer or an ink jet printer. If you will be doing a lot of professional printing, you may want to purchase a laser printer. However, if you want a printer for everyday use, such as printing documents and pictures, an ink jet will do nicely. Either way, make sure that you can print in black and white as well as in color.

Also consider the fact that there are all-in-one systems that enable you to print, fax, copy, and scan, and for many business owners, this is the most logical and cost effective choice. You will be amazed at how much a scanner comes in handy. It will enable you to scan documents and photographs. With a fax machine, you will be able to send and receive faxes, and in today's business world, that is vital.

A digital camera may seem optional, but in most cases, it really isn't. Having a digital camera will enable you to take your own photographs for use on your web site, such as a picture of you, or your products. What's more, there is no film to buy, and no development costs, as you can transfer your pictures from your camera to your computer quite easily.

Telephone: Ideally, you will have a separate telephone line for your business. Most people don't realize the importance of this. It isn't a matter of professionalism; it is a matter of keeping your sanity. Your phone line will need voicemail, and this will take care of calls that are received during your personal hours. You also won't have to worry about the line being tied up with personal calls.

Files: You will definitely need a filing cabinet. Your business may be an Internet Business, but that doesn't mean that you won't have offline files. You should have hard copies of everything, and set aside time either daily or weekly to neatly file things away. You should keep hard copies of receipts, contracts, tax information, and other business records.

Miscellaneous Supplies: Finally, you will need miscellaneous supplies, such as pens and pencils, a pencil holder, a pencil sharpener, business cards, note pads, envelopes, stationary, address book, paper and ink for the printer, and of course tablets for those many headaches you will experience.

Make your office space private, and make it a place that you will feel comfortable spending a great deal of time in. While it isn't necessary to decorate the home office, it does help to make it a warm and inviting place to do business.

Email marketing is tagged as a killer method when it comes to effective low-cost Internet marketing business. This is because it is the most widely-utilized and has the best reputation to drive traffic to websites. It is used to stay in touch with your customers or prospective clients, send out invitations, or make special offers- it provides updates to clients on your product or services..

It is as simple as writing an e-mail that may be in a form of a newsletter or an announcement, and sending that to as many targeted subscribers as possible. But there is an better method of going about it. Email marketing is not just about writing any email that you will be sending to anyone. Here are some ideas to note:

Email marketing is not at any rate tantamount to spamming. You are not supposed to send data or information that your email list will not have any substantial use for.

Your email might get lost together with the hudreds upon hundreds of emails that inbox owners are confronted with each day. So, you have to improve your subject line by making use of extra white space creatively, adding text symbols, starting every word with a capital letter, asking compelling questions, not making any unbelievable claims- make your email noticeable more than other mails.

Keep your mail clear. Not including any too good to be true statements is not applicable only to your subject line. Your email content must never embody any promise your business cannot fulfill. Make your offer genuinely of value to your recipients because in this way, you can gain reputation.

If you tell or inform your customers regarding discounts, minimal discounts are not that effective when compared with substantial discounts. However, you have to remember not to offer discounts that are lower than your profit. It will make your marketing effort useless.

Email should must be short and concise. If Possible make it not more than 400 words. You have to make sure that all the substances are there. Put the main ojective on the first paragraph or follow the inverted pyramid writing techniques.

Sending newsletters and postcards gives useful information for your potential clients. These are the best forms of reaching out to your clients or prospects. As I have said, you should keep the information short, simple and direct to the point for this feat to be effective.

With these simple methodology of doing about your email marketing as part of your Internet marketing campaign, your business will prosper in just a time.

Email marketing software is a vital tool in the arsenal of many existing business. However when you're starting a new business, there are so many items and considerations to remember that it's easy to let such an important function slip through the cracks. That can be a costly mistake for many startups.

Successful businesses know that the quicker you start taking advantage of email marketing software to promote your business and stay in touch with your customers, the better your results will be in the long-run. While you may already have a large to-do list before getting your business operating, here are some of the reasons why starting to use an email marketing program should be one of your key items:

- When you go live, you'll want to make an impact.
You've been working hard on setting up your new company and ironing out the details for a long time. Now it's show time: time to let the world know about your new business. Top marketers know that an effective launch is a key element to a new business' long-term success. A new business launch is interesting news to your companys' industry and the community around you. You may not have the opportunity to offer these people such interesting news for a long time, so you have to take advantage of this key situation.

In order to make the biggest bang with your launch, you'll want to spread the news to the maximum number of people. It's important to start early: start collecting the names and email addresses or your friends, family, business community, potential leads and industry colleagues. Every time you make an important contact, ask them if it's ok to add them to your email list. This way, by the time you launch, you'll have a good list of people who are interested in your company.

Most email marketing software programs will also allow you to include a 'forward to a friend' link in your emails, so when you're sending out your launch announcement to friends and family, you can encourage them to lend you a helping hand by passing on the news to everyone they know. A very good way to encourage this is to include a special launch offer, such as an e-coupon or discount. Email marketing software templates will characteristically include room for such offers, so including them in your email will be as quick and easy as point and click.

- When you launch, you'll probably be running on a tight budget
Launching a new business is always a costly undertaking. In the past, marketing your new company took up a large portion of those costs. With email marketing software, you can send professional, eye-catching email announcements without breaking the bank.

You may already be investing big dollars in print, television, or other ads, or you may be running on a tight budget, like the vast majority of new business startups. In either case, email marketing will provide you with a cost effective alternative (or complement) to getting the word out to as many people as possible.

- You'll be busy enough with so many other things; you'll want a marketing tool that's quick and effective
It's no secret that launching a new company is a long and laborious process. The last thing you'd want is a marketing tool that makes the experience even tougher. That's why email marketing software is such a great and effective tool for a new business owner. It's easy-to-use, so you don't need any professional experience or technical background. The best email marketing software programs are all point and click, and are designed to make email marketing a quick task in your busy day. Within minutes, you can create an effective and professional email marketing campaign to send out to your contacts. After you send it, it takes only seconds to see your campaign results in real-time.

Email marketing software is a tool made for today's busy business generation. And if you want your new company to succeed in today's landscape, starting to use an email marketing software should be a key item on your startup to-do list.

They key to have a responsive list is to build strong relationships with your subscribers. If you have a huge non-responsive list, it is of no use to you at all. By sending them useful and solid information related to what they are looking for when they initially opted in, you can keep them happy and subscribed to your list for years to come.

Building lists is a very important activity, be it you run an offline or online business. Your subscribers are those who have already known your brand and business. You just need to build strong rapport with them and stand a higher chance to convert them into your clients.

Let me share with you 5 tips to build a stronger relationship with your email list subscribers:

1. Always deliver what you promised. If you promise that they will get a free email course from you for the next 5 days, make sure that you deliver the emails. This is the initial trust that your subscribers want to see from you. If you do not deliver, they will not hesitate to opt out of your list.

2. Conduct online surveys. Invite your subscribers to participate in your business by asking them to take surveys to gather feedbacks on what they like and dislike about your products and services. If you intend to launch a new product for your company, you can gather some insights from your subscribers first before sending your new product for production.

3. Send them useful articles. If you write articles about your industry products and services, send them the links to your articles. This is a great way to build rapport and credential.

4. Set up a blog. A blog is useful to provide your prospects with latest information and updates about your company. It also acts as an informal way to connect better with your prospects. Whenever you write a new blog post, send the link of your blog post to your subscribers and invite them to read it.

5. Send them free PDF reports. You should send your subscribers free PDF reports from time to time. These reports should provide solid information for your subscribers and is best to not exceed 50 pages. Subscribers love free gifts and you can be sure that free PDF report is something that they are looking for.

Here you are with these 5 tips to build a stronger relationship with your email list subscribers. Remember, a responsive list is the key to email marketing success.

There are some packages presented on the web by some webmasters and SEO companies that involve creating hundreds of one way links from a certain website to another one. The procedure is usually called the site-wide links pack because the links are placed on every single page of the websites and therefore, according to the number of the pages of websites, you can have one way links.

But do you believe this procedure is really great for the proper optimization of the websites? In other words, do you consider having such links will be creating huge success for the websites receiving them? There are some arguments among webmasters and the SEO people in this regard but one thing is certain and that is such link building programs and exercises are not seen online as natural.

You know, search engines are very wise and can detect whether or not a link has been created in a natural way or not and therefore, when they see that suddenly, a website is giving out site-wide links to another web portal, well, they might get a bit suspicious, don't you think so? Please note that at many times, the site-wide links are primarily used for web traffic and this is absolutely ok using them.

There are many advertising programs and campaigns offered online by the companies involving adding site-wide links for adding to the websites traffic but such links are usually not direct ones and not counted by the search engines and as mentioned, are basically made for the sake of increasing traffic trends to certain participating websites and there is nothing wrong using them.

The red flags might be raised when hundreds or even thousands of one way, direct links that are all site-wide, are being added a website overnight. Search engines can easily tell that such link building scheme does not look like a natural process and therefore might do some things. For example, they might completely disregard the links as being not valuable or even lower the sites rankings.

Please note that links are to be added naturally to websites and not in an artificial manner and the site-wide links might not be that great when you are considering boosting your websites rankings in the search engines. If there was only one link from the links sources created in a natural way, it might be much better than adding a link on every page as such links may not bring magical results.

Site-wide links are usually placed at the footer sections of the websites, although sometimes you might see them at other spots on web pages such as the sidebars or at the top parts. Please note that although they are being counted apparently as thousands of links, but since they are coming from a single domain name and web source, so they might actually be regarded as only one single link.

Sometimes it might be tempting to use the site-wide links because you might assume they will create really big improvements in your websites rankings on the web but by looking at many websites that are already among the top ten placements in the search engines, you can find the majority of them not having such site-wide links and having got there in a natural optimization way.

Online marketing can be a very tricky process if things are not done as they should. If you are a webmaster, you need to come up with a plan in order to monetize your site. The methods for monetizing a website are not stand or either, a static HTML site may be built in order to capitalize the content with Adsense, others may be built in order to promote a product, a service or even get leads.

Before you start to promoting your site you need to make sure you know how is it that you're going to generate a revenue from it and the advertising strategy you're going to implement. Today we are going to take a look at directory submissions as well as article submissions in direct relation with Landing pages.

Directory and Article Submissions

Both article and web directory submissions are targeted towards link building, they are a small part of the search engine optimization strategy every webmaster needs to implement in order to increase the link popularity, page rank and ultimately traffic.

These two methods very similar however, there are key differences which separate them, directory submissions require several anchor texts as well as a combination of long and short descriptions which will be placed within the index of a directory, the submission process is not very tedious because the information which needs to be prepared is not very extensive, for instance: web directories only require a page title or anchor text, the site description, the information related to the person who is submitting the information and the correct verification of an anti-spam image, also referred to as "Captcha" -- once this information has been approved and listed by the site it then becomes a valid one way backlink.

Article submissions take more time and preparation when they are compared to directory submissions however, the link strength is equivalent among the two. In order to successfully syndicated an article it is necessary for the webmaster to prepare information such as an optimized title, an article summary (some sites may require to prepare a different summary which won't match the first paragraph of the article), the article body and finally but most importantly the resource box.

The resource box is the most important part due to the fact that it is a place where the anchor text can be varied in order to rank better for different keywords. The organic optimization of your site becomes a key factor when it comes to landing pages because visitors will always be interested in the anchor text which is used to link towards a landing page within a site. Let's now take a look at the direct correlation between article and directory submissions to landing pages.

What are Landing pages?

In a nutshell, a landing page is a page within a site which is being designed especially to promote a product or service, in some cases it may be designed to gather information from the visitor (lead generation) -- the most common mistake that webmasters make when promoting their Landing pages with article marketing or directory submissions is that they link the resource box to just another article page which is extremely inefficient because the reader is coming already from an article page.

In order to increase the chances of a conversion and realize a positive ROI an advertiser needs to create a landing page which is both relevant to the topic and has easy-to-follow instructions for the visitor. Those who are not promoting a service or gathering a lead may link directly to an article page "if and only if" the information which has been linked at is a direct continuation or a different chapter to the information already been provided, this is only effective if you are promoting a revenue program which is based on a pay per click system such as Adsense.

Targeting Conversions

Finally, the last step in this marketing strategy should be geared towards conversions. In order to track your visitor's behavior once they arrive to your site you will need to use a tracking tool such as Google analytics which is able to provide referrer information that will show you where the visitor came from, the time spent in the page, and click pattern and ultimately the conversion. If you have researched the keywords which work best with your landing page then your conversions should be high enough to sustain any marketing strategy you may use. A quick tip: you might want to have the information that a PPC system offers before you start your directory or article submissions, this will ensure that your keywords will convert into actual sales instead of just bringing raw traffic.

Search engine optimisation should be predominantly undertaken by professionals, specialists who have the precise knowledge needed in order to gain high rankings in search engines such as Google. But there are certain things that the lay reader should understand in order to make liaising with your optimisation professionals easier and more effective. Here are a few handy hints that will help you understand the optimisation process and find he right company.

Any study of search engine optimisation should incorporate some form of investigation into the basics of web development. It is advisable that for your optimisation campaign to go smoothly it is worthwhile understanding code and how it affects the website. At this stage it is rarely worth worrying about optimisation and purely focussing upon getting the website up and running. When you are writing the code it is important to recognise the importance of uniqueness for your content as well as its size. However, if you are employing a search engine optimisation company it is only a way to gain an understanding of these processes as it is likely they will undertaken for your site.

The next stage of understanding your optimisation campaign is to select, in consultation with your SEO specialist, the keywords that you are likely to use. It is important that these keywords are not too popular as you may be flogging a dead horse trying to optimise for the keyword, 'car' or 'computer'. Finding a balance between popularity and rarity is the ideal, you want keywords that are popular enough to be searched for and bring you business, but not so popular that there are thousands of websites targeting that term.

Ultimately however it is your choice of search engine optimisation company that is important. Currently there are number of unscrupulous operators in the industry, but it is possible to find one that is honourable and offers great services, here are some tips to help you make this all important decision.

Avoid optimisation companies that promise number one rankings. No one can guarantee that you will be at the top of the rankings, even if the search keywords have relatively low popularity.

As with many things in life it is worth taking the recommendations of friends or business associates when selecting SEO companies. Credibility is only really gained through word of mouth so speak to those who have undergone optimisation campaigns to find if they are happy with the services they have received. If you cannot find any personal recommendations, use the web and specifically forums that give advice of optimisation companies. Forums are based on opinion however, so the word of posters should not be taken as gospel.

When conversing with a company ask for examples of their previous work in order to evaluate their effectiveness. If they have achieved good results with past clients it is likely they will be able to do the same for you. in addition to this, look at the optimisation of their own website, an efficient company will rank high for keywords related to the industry.

By following this advice it should be possible for you to find an optimisation company that will help you achieve great search engine rankings. It should also help you converse with them and understand the process more clearly. As the industry goes from strength to strength it is important to find a company that will optimise your site effectively and bring you extra business.

Writing content for search engine optimization is not difficult to do once you understand the basic rules. Use your HTML tags properly to point out the main ideas, use smaller paragraph lengths, and structure your content in a logical order.

HTML Tags

Search engines like order since they are machines. If we make things easier for them, they will reward us with higher rankings in the search engines. Using correct HTML tags will do just this for us.

Reserve H1 Tags for your main Title only

The size is way too big for a human reader to see more than once, and we have trained ourselves to see the titles larger anyway,

Use H2 or H3 tags for section headings

The human eye scans down the page to pick out the relevant information before reading the screen. If you tell them what the sections are about, they will be more inclined to continue reading. The search engines will also recognize these section headings as key phrases as well, so it is important to always use them.

Proper English

Remember in high school, your English teacher told you about intro paragraphs and conclusion paragraphs? Well, in case you slept through that part of class, let me refresh your memory, because your readers are expecting it.

Introductory paragraph

Here you will tell them what you are going to tell them in a few sentences. Just list the topics you will cover. Remember those section headings I mentioned earlier?

Body

Use 3 -4 sections and order them with your section headings, much like I have done in this article. Tell them your main information. It is ok if you happen to need more than one paragraph to cover your section, just remember to use section headings.

Conclusion

Tell them what you have already told them. This is much like your intro paragraph, except you wrap everything up.

Readability

Our eyes are like the Charlie Brown cartoons when we see long blocks of print. BLAH BLAH BLAH. We cannot focus and maintain our concentration on large groupings of text. Making smaller paragraphs will ease the readers eye, and will be more visually pleasing. Try using a 2-4 sentence paragraph as opposed to a full paragraph of 5-6.

Search engines and humans like similar things when reading your content. They like proper use of heading tags, they like ease of readability, and of course they love proper English practices. Making things easy to read for both the search engines and humans alike is the best way to raise your ranking higher in the search engines. Keep it simple, keep it orderly, and keep it readable.

How strong is your motivation in your network marketing business? The answer to that question may determine how successful you become. If you are highly motivated, you will put forth more time and energy and you will be less likely to quit out of frustration.

Are you sick and tired of your JOB? Do you hate getting up each morning to the shrill sound of an alarm clock and driving in rush-hour traffic? Do you hate being told when you can take time off from work?

If you are truly unhappy with your current circumstances, you will probably do whatever it takes to become successful in this business so that you can change your situation. On the other hand, if you are only mildly annoyed by the way things are now, you will probably not be so determined to find success elsewhere.

Many of us would love to have the financial freedom which others have obtained in this business. Along with financial freedom comes more free time and more resources for the things we want in life. It also allows us to give to worthy causes. There is so much good that can be done as a result of becoming financially free.

Again, if your dream of financial independence is strong, you will work hard to make it happen. You will not be easily swayed into complacency because this business takes time and a lot of hard work.

Are you a parent who wants more than anything to be there for your kids when they come home from school? Do you shudder at the thought of taking your infant or toddler to daycare? If so, you will diligently work your home business so that you can be a work-from-home mom or dad.

There is a common theme here. If our desires are strong enough, we will work to become successful at network marketing. We will not let anything stand in our way. We will commit to consistent, daily action and do whatever it takes to live our dream.

Motivation is a powerful thing. It drives us to do what is hard and sometimes uncomfortable in order to reach the end result. It keeps us moving forward even on those days that we don’t really feel like it.

Knowing what we are working to achieve keeps us going. Success in this business can provide all kinds of freedom; financial freedom, time freedom, and freedom from a job. Never lose your motivation and you will find success.

It probably won’t happen quickly. You have to be willing to give it time. All businesses take time to grow and prosper. Make sure that you give it all the time it needs. In the meantime, live your life and be grateful for what you have. Of course you want more out of life or you wouldn’t be willing to put in the time, but that doesn’t mean that you cannot be happy in your current circumstances.

Striving for more simply means that you want to improve your life. Staying highly motivated will help you reach your goals. Good luck in all that you do.

In today’s tech savvy world, the Internet is a godsend for many people. They log on to make purchases, payments, do business, and even take classes. And since nothing is infallible, customer support is needed for all aspects of online transactions.

So, let’s say that you have a state of the art call center that will allow customers to call in to get help with their online transactions. Most customers want instant gratification, so talking to someone right away while they are in the throes of panic is important to them – although the panic is often self-induced and unfounded. However needy they are, your business (and potential future business) depends upon their happiness. Now, let’s say that your call center has ten support specialists and they are all on the phone, so your eleventh panic stricken customer is on hold (or worse yet – getting a busy signal) and all the time cursing your existence.

However what if you had a simple little feature on your web site that says “Live Help?” What if clicking that button put your customer into an instant queue and told them that a customer service representative would be right with them? No hold queue, no busy signal – just a pop-up window that says “You are important to us” and “Someone will be right with you.” Live Help is quickly replacing support call centers.

The benefits of Live Help for online businesses far outweigh the costs associated with it. For one, if you use Live Help instead of toll-free telephone lines, you can save the costs of those special lines and for each call that comes in. You already have the cost of computers and Internet obviously because of your online business, so saving a few extra dollars is a good thing.

Live Help is also beneficial for sales. What is a potential customer has a question about a product? Wouldn’t it be nice if they could ask it on the spot – like they would in a brick-and-mortar store – and be convinced that it’s a good purchase? Unanswered questions tend to drive consumers to other places where they CAN get answers immediately.

Live Help has been known to increase the trust of visitors, if they can get information on the spot. These visitors can become customers and their satisfaction and loyalty can be increased by offering this service. And if they are happy, they can spread the word to other potential customers.

Live Help is an easy program to install and maintain and would be worth the investment for future business successes. It operates much like an instant messaging program, which a majority of computer users are already familiar with and comfortable using.

In addition to all of the benefits listed here, Live Help shows your customers (and visitors) that you are up-to-date with technological advances and that you care about your customers enough to give them the instant gratification that they need in order to continue their shopping, business work, studies, and research.

This article is the continuation of the Part I of this topic.

The first reason why people fail to drive enough traffic through article marketing is their failure to go deep which is discussed in the Part I article.

Therefore in this article, we are going into the last two mistakes that marketers make when doing their article marketing.

2) They fail to go Wide :

What I meant by failure to go wide here is that there are marketers who only submit their articles to 2 to 3 article directories. I understand that article submission can be a very time consuming task to do, but if you do not submit your articles to more directories. The amount of exposure will be very limited. Personally, I submit to over 200 to 300 directories per article to get the amount of exposure my website is getting now. Therefore you must be committed to submit your article to as many directories as possible.

3) They fail to be Patient:

The last mistake marketers make is their impatience to wait for results. It takes some time for your articles to be approved and published by the respectively directories. It also takes time for your articles to be click on and read by your audience. Therefore any marketer who is interested in using article marketing as a mean of traffic generation must be patient.

I use article marketing as my primary mean of traffic generation because of the great traffic I get from it. Since I can achieve the kind of results I desire, I believe anyone of you can have the same result too.

Now avoid the above 3 mistakes and you can see similar results soon.

Remember this: The key to being successful in your internet marketing business lies in your ability to generate traffic to your site. Once you manage to master the skill to traffic generation, you will be able to achieve success in any niche you enter.
